The first community bank in Massachusetts to participate
The Savings Bank has been accepted to participate in the Veterans Benefits Banking Program (VBBP). The program, offered through a partnership with the Veterans Administration and participating banks and financial institutions, was established to help veterans and active military find banks like The Savings Bank to help them manage their money. The Savings Bank is one of two financial institutions in Massachusetts and the only community bank invited to participate.
“The Savings Bank is proud to support our veterans and active service members and is honored to partner with the Veterans Administration in an effort to provide resources and free accounts to veterans to help them reach their financial goals,” Bob DiBella, President, and CEO of The Savings Bank said.
As part of the VBBP program at The Savings Bank, veterans and active military have access to free checking including accounts that earn a high rate of interest or cash back, as well as the refunding of all ATM fees nationwide. With state-of-the-art banking technology and locations in Wakefield, Lynnfield, North Reading, Andover, and Methuen, you can speak with us at any branch or through our Call Center or Live Chat. Accounts can be opened in person or online.
Deposits at The Savings Bank are insured IN FULL through a combination of insurance provided by the FDIC and the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF). We also offer real-time account alerts, and the ability to monitor debit card activity and turn cards on and off. The Savings Bank also has extensive resources focused on cybersecurity to safeguard our customers’ banking and personal information.
For the last 154 years, The Savings Bank has been dedicated to the communities they serve as a safe place to deposit money, get a loan to buy or build a house, or secure money for a small business.
