Michael Rodriguez, former Senior Technology Generalist at The Savings Bank, has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President, IT Security/Help Desk Manager. Michael has been associated with The Savings Bank since 2015.
Since joining The Savings Bank, Michael has been responsible for spearheading the Bank’s efforts to keep its staff and customers safe while banking and conducting business online and ensuring cyber security and safety across all platforms. In this regard, he is charged with leading a team at the Bank in the designing, testing, and implementation of Disaster Recovery programs to further ensure the safety of all customers and staff, emergency implementation of a robust and secure remote domain, and the physical/ logical relocation of a Network Operating Center. He has conducted several of the Bank’s cyber security webinars, specifically during the pandemic when the majority of business was conducted virtually.
Before joining The Savings Bank, Michael was associated with Plum Choice of Boston where he was responsible for supporting the company’s technical support teams to quickly resolve network, server, and internal and external customer issues, as well as analyzing the performance and identifying and providing solutions for the Help Desk. He has previously worked as an IT Consultant with Boston Chauffer of Beverly with responsibility for maintaining and upgrading the network and evaluating functions to enhance efficiency.
Michael received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Systems Security and his Associate of Applied Science in Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute where he was on the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA and was selected as Valedictorian. He is a member of the Alpha Beta Kappa – National Honor Society.
