Wakefield, MA – The Savings Bank has named Bertha Ruiz branch manager of the main office branch in downtown Wakefield, where she will oversee operations and customer relations. Bertha joins The Savings Bank with over 20 years of management experience in financial operations and banking.
Most recently, Bertha served as assistant treasurer for the city of Everett. She also held management positions at Rockland Trust and East Boston Savings Bank where she excelled in strengthening customer relationships, strategic business development, and employee development. Bertha’s history of teamwork, leadership, and customer-focused service aligns with The Savings Bank’s core values for community banking.
As branch manager of the main office, Bertha will continue to offer innovative solutions for customers’ banking needs while fostering community development by supporting local initiatives that impact Wakefield residents and businesses. “I decided to join The Savings Bank because of its strong ties to the community and the personalized banking experience,” said Bertha. “This personalized banking experience is one customers only benefit from by banking with a true community bank.”

Bertha studied finance, business administration, and human resources at the New England College of Business and Finance. In her free time, she volunteers at the Spanish Church of God.
